Training Complete... just counting down to May 1
I've been training since January and I'm now down to just a few days before the big ride. I have been lucky enough to have a the support of Steve McCarter as I have overbooked his schedule to make sure I get enough time on the bike. Steve has put up with me for every training mile - though sometimes he'd speed up or drop back for what I suspect was some "alone time." It's been 5 years since I completed my last long ride to Washington, D.C. (700 miles). As this year was the 10 year anniversary of my brother, Jason C. Campbell's , End of Watch Date I have decided to join up with the team and ride the full 1200+ miles (12 days). Monday, May 1, we (Law Enforcement United's FLETC long ride team) will depart from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, GA. We will ride through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia finally arriving in Washington, D.C. on Friday, May 12. Along the way we will stop at ceremonie
